Manor School is awarded Pupil Premium to be used to target improvement in very specific areas for a caseload of pupils on free school meals who have been identified as needing additional support in order to make progress in their language & communication skills and sensory needs.
The SaLT (Speech and Language Therapy team) and Occupational Therapist work with those pupils to target their individual speaking, listening, motor and sensory needs through targeted intervention.
Pupils’ speech and language skills and sensory needs will be targeted individually, in small groups and in whole-class sessions according to individual needs and functional and curriculum-based topics. Goals will be set at the beginning of the block of therapy and monitored throughout their sessions so that progress can be monitored.
Analysis of our data demonstrates that all of our pupils are making at least good progress and the vast majority of pupils excellent progress.
